Material
It has to age well.
Fingerprint-resistant stainless, real glass, and finishes chosen to sit beside wood and stone rather than compete with them.

About GE Profile
A refrigerator is not a sculpture. A range is not a status symbol. They are tools that decide how a morning feels. GE Profile designs for that pressure, then removes as much friction as possible.
The point of view
The best compliment a kitchen appliance can receive is that nobody talks about it. Dinner gets made. The ice tastes clean. The wash cycle ends before bed. GE Profile builds for that kind of quiet, where the technology is present but the operation does not become a project.
That approach shows up in the details: a counter-depth refrigerator that sits flush with the cabinets, an induction surface that holds a low simmer, a wall oven that explains itself without a manual, and an all-in-one laundry machine that removes the transfer between washer and dryer.
The design language is American and restrained. Stainless steel, graphite, glass, and warm neutral finishes. Controls that read at a glance. Software that stays in the background until it is useful.
What we design for
Material
Fingerprint-resistant stainless, real glass, and finishes chosen to sit beside wood and stone rather than compete with them.
Software
Controls should be legible on the first try. Smart features should save a trip across the room, not add one to a settings menu.
Service
A model number, a filter, a strange noise. Support should lead to a person, a part, or a next step without a maze.
Louisville, Kentucky
GE Profile appliances are designed and tested with Louisville as home base. Appliance Park opened in 1953 and remains one of the places where the next generation of kitchen and laundry products takes shape.
